A painting is a painting is an idea.

Most people define a painting as something on canvas - or at a stretch - on paper. As my definition is more of an attitude, the term "painting" could be applied equally to everything I do. The basis of my work does not change when the materials change.

Idea concerning what; idea expressed how; are the ways and means of any visual object.

It is not absolutely necessary to state both what and where.

The speech of color is only a tool, a means to an end, not an end in itself.

Painting conveys both experiential information and an emotional charge which is carried on the tongue, in the nose, on the skin, in the gut; savored through time, feeding more than just the instant moment.
